Legal notice
Who runs ScioperiItalia.it, where the data comes from and how to use it. Last updated: 19 October 2026.
This is a translation of the Italian text; in case of differences, the Italian version prevails.
Who runs the site
ScioperiItalia.it is run by Mirko Tassone, Italian VAT no. (P.IVA) 03208950646. Contact: mirko.tassone02@gmail.com.
Independent website
The site is not connected to or endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, by transport operators or by trade unions. Company and union names are mentioned only to indicate who each strike refers to; the related trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Data source and licence
The strike data comes from the Observatory on industrial disputes of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport: dataset "Scioperi dei trasporti", licence CC BY 4.0, and the official strikes portal. The data has been processed by ScioperiItalia.it: normalised, reorganised by date, city, sector and company, translated where possible and accompanied by explanatory texts. Free-text fields of the source (categories, notes, some hours) are shown in the original Italian.
Reliability of the information
The information is updated automatically several times a day from the official data and every page shows when it was checked. However, strikes can be called off, changed or postponed even at the last minute, and the source data may contain errors or arrive late. Before you travel, always check with the transport operator and on the official MIT portal. If you find an error, write to mirko.tassone02@gmail.com: we will correct it as soon as possible.
Unofficial reports
The Protests and blockades section (in Italian) collects events that are not strikes called with notice and do not appear in the Ministry's data: demonstrations, sector blockades, pickets. The pages are summaries written by ScioperiItalia.it from news sources, cited on each page: they do not reproduce the outlets' texts. Each page says whether the event is reported by one outlet or by several and when it was last checked. They may contain inaccuracies or become outdated within hours. To request a correction or the removal of information, write to mirko.tassone02@gmail.com: we check and, if needed, correct it as soon as possible.
Limitation of liability
The information on the site is provided for information purposes only, as it is, with no guarantee of completeness, accuracy or timeliness. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from the use of the information or its unavailability (for example a missed trip because of a strike that was changed or not reported) or for site interruptions. Liability that the law does not allow to be excluded, and consumer rights, remain unaffected.
Affiliate links
Some boxes contain affiliate links, marked as such next to the link: they promote partner services (currently DiscoverCars for car rental and AirHelp for flight compensation claims; other partners may be added). If you buy or make a claim through an affiliate link, the partner may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you and without changing the price. Partners do not influence the information about strikes. Information on passenger rights (for example compensation for cancelled or delayed flights, EU Regulation 261/2004) is general and for information only: it is not legal advice and does not guarantee the outcome of a claim. Conditions, prices and services are those shown on the partners' websites.
Third-party advertising
The site displays third-party advertising through the HilltopAds networks (windows that open after a click and banners in the page). The ads are selected and supplied by the network: we do not check them before they are shown, we are not responsible for their content or for the products or services advertised and we do not recommend buying them. For the data processed by the network see the privacy notice. Advertisers do not influence the information about strikes. Gambling ads with cash prizes are not allowed: if you see one, please report it to us.
Site content and reuse
The original texts, graphics, structure and code of the site belong to Mirko Tassone and may not be copied or reproduced without permission, except for short quotations with a link to the original page. The strike data remains subject to the Ministry's CC BY 4.0 licence and may be reused under the same terms, crediting the original source and indicating whether it was modified. The pages on unofficial reports are our own summaries: the texts and trademarks of the outlets cited remain those of their respective owners.
External links
The site links to third-party websites (Ministry, transport operators, partners). We do not control their content, which remains the responsibility of their respective operators.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
The site and this notice are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, the court of the consumer's place of residence or domicile is competent, if in Italy (Art. 66-bis of the Italian Consumer Code); for other users, the jurisdiction set by law applies.
